MCU Slammed Over 30 FPS Issue

Marvel Rivals Addresses Low FPS Damage Issue Affecting Certain Heroes

Players of Marvel Rivals experiencing reduced damage output at lower FPS settings (particularly 30 FPS) can expect a resolution. The developers have acknowledged a bug impacting damage calculations for heroes like Dr. Strange and Wolverine, stemming from the game's client-side prediction mechanism. This mechanism, designed to minimize lag, is inadvertently causing discrepancies in damage dealt at lower frame rates.

The issue disproportionately affects specific heroes and abilities, with Wolverine's Feral Leap and Savage Claw cited as examples. The problem is more apparent against stationary targets than in live matches.

While a precise fix date isn't available, the developers are actively working on a solution. The upcoming Season 1 launch, scheduled for January 11th, is anticipated to address the problem, either fully resolving it or significantly mitigating its effects. Any remaining issues will be tackled in subsequent updates.

Despite early concerns about hero balance, Marvel Rivals has enjoyed considerable success since its December 2025 launch, boasting an 80% player approval rating on Steam based on over 132,000 reviews. The ongoing efforts to resolve this FPS-related bug further demonstrate the developers' commitment to providing a positive player experience.
