"Death Stranding 2: Bosses Bypassed Without Battle"
In the eagerly awaited sequel, Death Stranding 2: On The Beach, players can now navigate through boss encounters without the need for direct combat. This innovative feature, announced by the game's director Hideo Kojima during a recent Koji Pro radio broadcast, aims to accommodate players of all skill levels by offering a non-confrontational way to progress through the game's narrative.
If players choose to bypass a boss fight by selecting "continue" on the game over screen, they will be treated to a visual novel-style presentation. This includes images and text that detail the battle, ensuring that the story's context remains intact without the necessity of combat. This approach not only broadens the game's appeal but also enriches the storytelling experience.
Death Stranding 2 Development Updates
New Feature Allows Players To Clear Bosses Without Combat
During the April 14 episode of Koji Pro's radio broadcasts, Hideo Kojima unveiled that Death Stranding 2: On The Beach (DS2) is incorporating a feature designed to assist less experienced players in overcoming boss fights. By choosing to "continue" after a game over, players can skip the combat and still advance, receiving a detailed narrative of the battle through visual novel elements.
Death Stranding 2 Around 95% Complete
Kojima also shared that DS2 is nearing completion, currently standing at 95% done. He likened the development stage to 10 PM on a 24-hour clock, indicating that only a couple of hours remain before the project is fully realized. The game is set to continue directly from where the original left off, promising to delve deeper into its intriguing universe.
At last month's South by South West (SXSW) event, Kojima Productions and Sony provided a glimpse into DS2's world with a 10-minute trailer. This trailer not only showcased the game's evolving story but also introduced new characters, including a figure resembling Solid Snake, sparking excitement among fans. The event also highlighted DS2's collector's edition and pre-order bonuses, details of which can be found in our comprehensive article below.
