Monster Hunter Wilds Update: Bug Fixes, No Performance Boost

Author : Logan Update : Mar 14,2025

Capcom has released hotfix 1.000.05.00 for Monster Hunter Wilds across all platforms, addressing several key improvements and bug fixes. This patch tackles various progression-blocking issues and resolves numerous bugs, though it doesn't include performance enhancements. Despite this, and a "mixed" user review rating on Steam (largely due to PC performance concerns), Monster Hunter Wilds has enjoyed a phenomenal launch, selling 8 million copies in just three days—making it Capcom's fastest-selling game ever. It also boasts the fifth-highest concurrent player count in Steam history, peaking at a staggering 1,384,608 players—surpassing even Dota 2, Cyberpunk 2077, and Elden Ring on Valve's platform. This compares dramatically to Monster Hunter: World's peak of 334,684 players.

A major title update is planned for early April, promising a new endgame area and even more monster hunting action.

IGN said: “Monster Hunter Wilds continues to smooth off the rougher corners of the series in smart ways, making for some extremely fun fights but also lacking any real challenge.”
