Extracting Items in R.E.P.O.: A Guide

In the thrilling co-operative horror game *R.E.P.O.*, your mission is clear: retrieve valuable items and survive the onslaught of monsters that spawn randomly across each location. The challenge is intense, but the rewards are worth it. Successfully escape with your loot, and you'll be handsomely rewarded by the game and the menacing AI Taxman, allowing you to stock up on essential survival gear with your hard-earned cash.

To secure your haul, you must reach the Extraction Point where your C.A.R.T of treasures is assessed, and the Taxman determines your next move. If you manage to gather enough, you'll proceed to the Service Station, hopefully with a hefty sum to spend on upgrades and supplies.

As you delve deeper into *R.E.P.O.*, the extraction process becomes more familiar. What initially feels overwhelming soon turns into a routine as you master the levels and overcome the lurking monsters.

How to Extract in R.E.P.O.

In your initial foray into *R.E.P.O.*, you'll encounter just one Extraction Point. However, as you advance to new locations, this number can increase up to a maximum of four. Keep an eye on the red number in the right-hand corner of your screen to track how many drop-offs you need to complete and how many you've already accomplished.

At the start of each level, the first Extraction Point is conveniently located near your R.E.P.O. truck, a constant you can rely on for your initial drop-off. Subsequent points, however, require more strategy.

After depositing your first C.A.R.T.-full, continue navigating the level as usual. The Taxman's demands and the location of subsequent Extraction Points remain a mystery until you reach the relevant area. Here, your in-game map becomes invaluable. By pressing "Tab" on your keyboard, you can view unexplored areas, helping you plan your routes and, if playing with others, coordinate your efforts to cover more ground simultaneously.

You'll discover the next Extraction Point either by sight or sound. Once located, press the big red button to learn your fate and whether you've collected enough valuables. If you have, place your C.A.R.T within the designated grey area to ensure no items are destroyed.

After completing the required number of Extraction Points, you'll either move on to the next one or attempt to return to the truck unscathed. Remember, after the final point is processed, you don't need to bring the C.A.R.T back to the truck; a new one will be available at the next location or level.
