"Construction Simulator 4: Beginner's Tips and Tricks"
After a seven-year hiatus, Construction Simulator 4 has finally arrived, and it's definitely worth the wait. The game transports players to the stunning new location of Pinewood Bay, inspired by the picturesque Canadian landscape.
For fans of the series, Construction Simulator 4 delivers exactly what you'd expect and more. It introduces over 30 new vehicles, including a brand new construction machine, and a cooperative mode that lets you team up with friends to tackle projects together.
These vehicles are fully licensed, featuring machinery by renowned brands like CASE, Liebherr, MAN, and more. The much-requested new vehicle is a concrete pump, which has been a long-awaited addition to the series.
The best part? You can now try it all out for free with the 'Lite' version. It's available at no cost to download, and if you enjoy it, you can upgrade to the full version for just $5.
As promised, this guide will help you get started with Construction Simulator 4. Below are some specific tips and tricks to help you run a top-notch construction business in no time.
Give Yourself an Advantage
When you first start Construction Simulator 4, you can adjust several settings to give yourself an early advantage, which we highly recommend if you're a first-time player.
First, tweak the economic cycle. This setting determines the interval between reporting your profit and loss, so setting it to the full 90 minutes will give you more time to plan your next moves and recover from any setbacks.
Additionally, turn off traffic rules to avoid fines for reckless driving. Opting for Arcade Mode as your driving style can also simplify the controls, making your gameplay smoother.
Learn the Ropes
Our second tip is to not skip the tutorial, especially since it's so comprehensive. An NPC named Hape will guide you through every feature of the game in detail. Follow his instructions, and you'll master everything from driving the vehicles to navigating the company menu, where you can trade materials, purchase new machinery, and set waypoints.
Pick up Jobs
After completing the tutorial, you'll be immersed in the game. Fortunately, the jobs system provides ongoing guidance. You can access these jobs in the company menu, which also houses your campaign missions.
You can also take on optional 'General Contracts' that offer additional experience and cash, helping you progress between the more challenging campaign missions.
Rank Up
To take on certain jobs and missions, you'll need specific vehicles and ranks of machinery. Check the job descriptions to see what's required. Use this information to set goals and pursue the necessary machines and ranks for the next campaign mission.
You unlock new vehicles and ranks by earning experience points, which you can accumulate through general contracts. The strategy is simple: complete campaign missions when you can and pick up general contracts in between.
