Recommended Elemental Attack: Water
Effective Status Effects: Poison (2x), Sleep (2x), Paralysis (3x), Blastblight (2x), Stun (2x), Exhaust (-)

Stun the Monster

Ebony Odogaron's speed is its most challenging attribute, making it crucial to find ways to slow it down. Stunning the monster is an effective strategy; look for a nearby Flashfly to trigger or craft Flash Pods to shoot at Ebony Odogaron, momentarily immobilizing it and giving you a window to attack.

Bring Teammates

Facing Ebony Odogaron solo can be daunting due to its relentless attacks. To ease the burden, send out SOS signals to rally teammates. If no players respond, NPCs can step in, serving as a buffer between you and the monster. Use this opportunity to dodge and wait for the monster to shift its focus away from you.

Pull Down Entangled Rocks

During the battle, you'll encounter areas with Entangled Rocks overhead. Using your slinger to bring these down can stun Ebony Odogaron for a few precious seconds. Remember, this tactic is a one-time use per fight. Additionally, deploying Pitfall and Shock Traps can provide two more chances to immobilize the beast.

Beware of Dragonblight

Ebony Odogaron can inflict Dragonblight, which negates your ability to apply elemental or status effects. Counter this by using a Nulberry or equipping gear with Level 3 Dragon Resistance or Blight Resistance to maintain your offensive capabilities.

Inflict Paralysis

Paralysis is a game-changer against Ebony Odogaron, freezing it in place for a brief period. This not only makes the fight more manageable but also increases your damage window. If you can knock the monster down near roots, it might get further entangled, extending your advantage.

Aim for the Head

The head is Ebony Odogaron's most vulnerable spot, boasting a 3-star weakness. Striking here maximizes damage, though it positions you directly in the monster's line of sight. Alternatively, targeting its forelegs and tail can be safer, offering a chance to break these parts and reduce its mobility.

Capturing Ebony Odogaron requires lowering its health to 20% or less, followed by setting a Pitfall or Shock Trap. Once trapped, administer a tranquilizer to subdue it. If the monster isn't weak enough, the tranquilizer will fail, forcing you to continue the battle until you can try again.
