868-Sequel Emerges from Crowdfunding Depths
The cult-classic mobile game 868-Hack is returning—or at least aiming to, with a new crowdfunding campaign for its sequel, 868-Back. This roguelike digital dungeon crawler lets players experience the thrill of hacking cyberpunk mainframes.
Cyber warfare often falls short of its exciting potential. While we dream of being like Angelina Jolie in "Hackers," reality is usually less glamorous. But 868-Hack offers a unique opportunity to live that fantasy. Like the PC puzzler Uplink, it cleverly simplifies the complexities of hacking, creating a challenging yet accessible experience. The original 868-Hack successfully delivered on its premise, and its sequel promises even more.
868-Back builds upon its predecessor, allowing players to chain together "Progs" to execute complex actions, much like real-world programming. This sequel boasts an expanded world, redesigned Progs, enhanced visuals, improved audio, and new rewards.
Conquering the Digital World
868-Hack's gritty art style and cyberpunk aesthetic are undeniably appealing. Supporting the crowdfunding campaign feels like a worthwhile endeavor, though inherent risks in such projects should be acknowledged. While setbacks are always possible, we wholeheartedly wish developer Michael Brough the best of luck in bringing 868-Back to fruition.
