Capcom confirma el desarrollo de ōkami 2 en el motor RE

Tras el anuncio de una secuela ōkami en los premios del juego del año pasado, surgió la especulación inmediatamente con respecto a su motor. IGN confirma exclusivamente, después de hablar con los líderes clave del proyecto, que el juego utilizará el motor RE de Capcom.

En una extensa entrevista, el productor de Machine Head Works, Kiyohiko Sakata, confirmó el uso del motor RE. Describió el papel de Machine Head Works como unir la brecha entre Capcom (soporte de IP y director de la visión general del juego) y Clover (desarrollador principal). La experiencia de Machine Head Works trabajando con Capcom en títulos anteriores y Kamiya-san (el director original de ōkami) proporciona una valiosa información y experiencia. De manera crucial, su familiaridad con RE Motor complementa la falta de experiencia de Clover con el motor, ofreciendo soporte técnico esencial. Además, Machine Head Works incluye personal con experiencia en el ōkami original, reforzando aún más el desarrollo.
