Wild Rift Patch 6.1 Goes Cosmic Mid-April

LoL: Wild Rift Patch 6.1: Ascending Stars is set to launch on April 16th, promising a cosmic overhaul that will transform everything from the menus to the battlefield. Players will embark on an adventure through the Dual Nova galaxy, exploring the Challenger’s Star and Adventure’s Star.

Three new champions are joining the roster, each bringing unique and game-changing abilities to the fray. Ryze, the Rune Mage, will unleash immense AoE damage and can teleport teammates across the map with his Realm Warp. Nocturne, the Eternal Nightmare, thrives on chaos, using Paranoia to plunge enemies into total darkness. Zilean, the Chronokeeper, masters time manipulation, slowing down enemies and even reviving allies with Chronoshift.

Several champions are also receiving reworks to enhance their gameplay. Garen’s Courage will now scale over time, making him even more durable, while his Judgment ability will shred enemy armor more effectively. Ambessa is transitioning from the jungle to the Baron lane, with adjustments to her damage and life steal. Smaller tweaks are also in store for Diana, Fiora, Jax, Sona, and Kalista.

Beyond champion changes, a new Bandle-inspired Rift will spice up non-Ranked modes, featuring Enchanted Gifts that appear through portals during the laning phase. Mages are set to benefit from long-awaited item updates, including the new Bandle Fantasy item that adds extra burst damage. Hextech GLP800 will slow enemies with frost bombs, while Malignance will enhance ultimate abilities, making spellcasters even more formidable.

Ranked mode is also evolving with the launch of the Challenger’s Star, marking the beginning of a new season. This update brings enhancements to the Ranked store and introduces an easier way to earn seasonal rewards. Midway through the patch, the Adventure’s Star will unlock, introducing AAAARAM—a fresh take on ARAM with added augments and galactic visuals.

The Wild Pass will offer two stunning skins: Wondertown Twisted Fate and Battlecast Nasus. Twisted Fate’s new look introduces an entirely new skinline, adding to the excitement of this update.
