Blizzard has unveiled exciting new details about the in-game housing system debuting in World of Warcraft: Midnight. While the expansion's release is still some time away, following The War Within as part of the Worldsoul saga, early previews showcase a level of customization exceeding many players' expectations.

A recent developer blog post, complete with in-game videos, demonstrated the intuitive furniture placement system. Items snap to a grid for easy arrangement, and players can decorate larger pieces, like shelves and tables, with smaller accessories that remain attached when moved.

The system offers two modes: a user-friendly Basic Mode for straightforward organization and a more advanced option for creative builders. Advanced Mode unlocks the ability to rotate objects freely on all three axes and stack them creatively, paving the way for complex and visually stunning interiors.

Gnomes can craft cozy spaces, while Tauren can build grander, more spacious layouts. Select furniture pieces designed specifically for this system will support recoloring, although this feature may not extend to all legacy assets.

With Midnight still months away, Blizzard continues to drip-feed exciting content updates, keeping players engaged and eagerly anticipating the expansion's arrival.
