thatgamecompany is embarking on an ambitious storytelling journey within Sky. The new season, Season of The Two Embers – Part 1, launches in Sky: Children of the Light on July 21st. This marks the exciting beginning of a four-part saga.

Season of The Two Embers introduces cinematic narrative directly into the game, drawing inspiration from the in-game film, Sky: The Two Embers. This new season will debut alongside the first part of the film.

The narrative follows an orphan who clings to hope as darkness envelops their world. It unfolds through a flowing, animated story with no spoken dialogue.

Each chapter premieres as a short film. Players then immediately embark on Seasonal Quests, allowing them to step into the final moments of a fading kingdom.

A gentle manatee companion serves as the story's emotional core. It reacts to your actions and remains by your side through every journey.

Alongside the tale, you can explore one of Sky's most intricately designed new areas: a vibrant market village teeming with Spirits and hidden secrets. New seasonal cosmetics, including charming manatee hats and earrings, perfectly capture the atmosphere.

The Season's Release Schedule Is Now Available

The schedule for Season of The Two Embers – Part 1 unfolds over four weeks. Chapter 1 begins on July 21st, with Chapter 2 following on July 28th.

Chapter 3 arrives on August 4th, and the final chapter debuts on August 11th. After each chapter's premiere, it will replay every two hours within the game's cinema.
