"Torchlight: Infinite Season 8: Sandlord Launches This Month"
Torchlight: Infinite's next chapter, Season 8: Sandlord, is set to launch on April 17th, promising a significant transformation for the action RPG. This season introduces the innovative Cloud Oasis, a floating city where players will engage in economic gameplay, trading resources, managing workers, and overseeing production lines to build their own aerial empire.
Thea makes a return with a new twist in her gameplay. Her Blasphemer trait allows her to swap divine powers for a curse named Desecration. This curse, starting off weak, scales powerfully, enhancing Erosion damage inversely proportional to her remaining blessing power. Players can further develop this into area-of-effect explosions or effects that scale with health, ideal for those who enjoy damage-over-time and synergistic build strategies.
Endgame content has been given a major overhaul, with Deep Space now featuring five new stages, expanded maps, and more challenging enemies. A new system, Probes, lets players adjust the risk and reward balance. Each Probe increases the difficulty but also the chance of obtaining better loot, including Compass chests through the Compass Probe.

Season 8 also introduces a Blending System for belt crafting, enabling the fusion of Hero Traits, Talent nodes, and unique affixes into one item slot, offering deeper build customization. A new boss, Night Slayer – The Wilting Plume, has been added to both Plane Watcher and the 20th floor of Supreme Showdown.
To celebrate the season launch, the Sands of Fortune anniversary event will run from April 17th to May 1st. Players can participate in tasks, earn Gold Rush Attempts, and compete for a share of a $250,000 prize pool.
