Hello gentle readers, and welcome to the final regular SwitchArcade Round-Up for TouchArcade by yours truly. After several years, circumstances necessitate a change of course. This week's roundup is a big one, featuring reviews from Mikhail and Shaun, summaries of new releases, and the usual sales lists. Let's ride one last time!
Reviews & Mini-Views
Fitness Boxing feat. HATSUNE MIKU ($49.99)
Following the success of Fitness Boxing and its surprisingly good Fist of the North Star crossover, Imagineer's collaboration with Hatsune Miku was a smart move. I've been playing it alongside Ring Fit Adventure, and I'm impressed.
Fitness Boxing games use boxing and rhythm game mechanics for fitness. This Miku version includes a dedicated mode for her songs, in addition to the standard tracks. Note that it's Joy-Con only; no Pro Controller or third-party accessories are supported.
The game offers difficulty options, a free training mode, warmups, workout tracking, reminders, and even system-wide alarms. Unlockable cosmetics add a rewarding element. While I can't comment on DLC yet, I enjoyed the base game more than Fist of the North Star, except for one issue: the main instructor's voice is oddly directed and jarring; I ended up muting it.
Fitness Boxing feat. HATSUNE MIKU successfully blends Miku with the Fitness Boxing formula. It's a solid fitness game, best used to supplement, rather than replace, other exercise routines. -Mikhail Madnani

Magical Delicacy ($24.99)
Magical Delicacy blends Metroidvania exploration with cooking and crafting. While I appreciate the well-implemented exploration, some inventory management and backtracking issues detract from the experience. The charming pixel art, music, and extensive settings options (including UI scaling) are highlights.
You play as Flora, a young witch on a wholesome, magical adventure. The Metroidvania elements are surprisingly strong, despite some minor flaws in ingredient management and UI interaction.
Magical Delicacy makes a great first impression but could benefit from further refinement. The Switch version plays well, with good rumble, though some minor frame pacing issues were noted. A handheld experience is ideal. -Mikhail Madnani

Aero The Acro-Bat 2 ($5.99)
Aero The Acro-Bat 2 is a surprisingly well-polished sequel. While not a massive success, it’s a solid platformer that refines its predecessor, albeit at the cost of some of its unique charm. This release surpasses expectations with an improved emulation wrapper, including box and manual scans, achievements, a sprite sheet gallery, a jukebox, and cheats. The only drawback is the omission of the Genesis/Mega Drive version. -Shaun
SwitchArcade Score: 3.5/5
Metro Quester | Osaka ($19.99)
Metro Quester | Osaka, a prequel expansion to the original, offers a new dungeon, characters, and mechanics in a wetter Osaka setting. It retains the original's turn-based combat, top-down exploration, and challenging gameplay. Those who enjoyed the first game will find plenty to love here. -Shaun
