Stellar Mercenaries Unveils Jupiter Expansion for Space Shooter
Stellar Mercenaries has just launched an exciting new upgrade that takes the action to the largest planet in our solar system. The Jupiter Expansion is now available, nearly doubling the game's content with more worlds, enemies, and missions to explore.
If you're new to Stellar Mercenaries, it's a thrilling vertical-scrolling action arcade space shooter. You'll embark on procedurally generated missions, customize your ships and weapons, and strive to become the most feared mercenary in the solar system.
What’s New in the Jupiter Expansion of Stellar Mercenaries?
The Jupiter Expansion transforms Jupiter and its moons—Ganymede, Io, and Europa—into dynamic battlegrounds. Each moon presents unique challenges: Ganymede is a barren wasteland, Io is covered in volcanic debris, and Europa is a frozen, treacherous landscape. Jupiter itself is teeming with storms, adding to the intensity of the battles.
Two new factions have emerged in this expansion. The Jovian Empire, a formidable military force, aims to dominate the region, while the Pirate Council, a chaotic alliance of outlaws, adds a layer of unpredictability to the gameplay.
The expansion introduces 50 new missions with diverse objectives. From hyperspace hunting, where you track down elusive targets, to piracy, escort, and train defense missions, there's no shortage of action.
Six new ships have been added to the game: Raider, Goblin, Mako, Boxer, Lightning, and Skybreaker. Additionally, the arsenal expands with new weapons such as the Hyper Velocity Mortar, Plasma Seeker, EMP Rockets, Mauler Cannon, Electron Beam, and Neutron Beam.
New Hazards, Shields, and More
The update also introduces Tier 4 shields and armor, enhancing your defensive capabilities. New hazards to navigate include asteroid fields, elite enemy squadrons, and the formidable Pacifier. Some enemy mercenaries have been upgraded, introducing new classes like Nightmare, Riot, and Warhawk, which add to the challenge.
To complement the expanded gameplay, the Jupiter Expansion adds 14 new music tracks and a new side missions system. Dive into the action by checking out Stellar Mercenaries on the Google Play Store—there's a wealth of new content waiting for you!
