Should You Help Prochek or Olbram in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2? (Mice & Frogs Quest Guide)

Author : Ava Update : Mar 17,2025

Early in *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*, you'll encounter branching side quests in Tachov and Zhelejov, requiring you to choose between aiding Prochek or Olbram. This guide clarifies whether you can help both and which choice is ultimately better.

Can You Help Both Prochek and Olbram in *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*?

While Tachov and Zhelejov are locked in a bitter rivalry, you can surprisingly complete most quests for both Prochek and Olbram. This strategic approach allows you to explore the rich backstories of both settlements. Although a completely favorable outcome for both isn't possible, it provides a more comprehensive experience.

Should You Choose Prochek or Olbram in *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*?

If choosing just one side, the difference is negligible. Both aim to sabotage the other, making the selection purely a matter of personal preference for the task's humor. Olbram's quest involves stealing Zhelejov's maypole—a nighttime stealth operation requiring you to cleverly distract the guard. Prochek's task is to paint Olbram's bull blue, demanding you acquire a recipe from Radovan and dye from the tailor. Prochek's quest tends to be slightly more challenging early on, potentially requiring higher Speech skills or sufficient Groschen to navigate dialogue checks. Therefore, siding with Olbram might be easier for early-game players.

How to Start "Mice" for Prochek in *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*

Initiate the "Mice" quest by speaking with Prochek in Tachov. If you can't locate him, the innkeeper can direct you.

Obtaining the Dye and Lullaby Potion

Ingredients for Lullaby Potion

Purchase dye from Bartoshek, the tailor in Troskowitz. To obtain the Lullaby Potion recipe, either work as Radovan's blacksmith apprentice in Tachov or charm him into giving it to you. The recipe requires oil, poppy, and thistle—easily harvested from the garden outside Troskowitz's apothecary. Once brewed, administer the potion to the bull in Zhelejov, paint it, and report back to Prochek.

How to Start "Frogs" for Olbram in *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*

Find Old Olbram near the meadow in Zhelejov to begin the "Frogs" quest by agreeing to steal the Tachov maypole.

Stealing the Maypole

Proceed to Tachov at night and approach the maypole cautiously. Henrik guards it. You can either knock him out or, with sufficient Speech, persuade him to leave by arranging a secret date with Manka. Once Henrik is gone, climb and chop down the maypole, returning to Olbram to complete this stage. He'll then task you with chasing sheep and delivering a digestive potion to Alshik.

You can choose to complete Olbram's additional task or inform Prochek of Olbram's plan, bringing both quests to a close.
