New Monster Outbreak Feature Launched in Monster Hunter Now

Author : Riley Update : May 14,2025

If you're a fan of Monster Hunter Now and have felt that the game was a bit too easy lately, you're in for a thrilling update. Niantic is rolling out a new Monster Outbreak feature, set to be tested from April 26th to 27th, which aims to challenge even the most seasoned hunters.

Currently in the testing phase, this feature allows players to experience and provide feedback on the Monster Outbreaks. During these events, a massive number of a single monster type will appear in a designated area. To participate, you must be within the accessible range and team up with other hunters (groups only!) to tackle these formidable creatures.

The goal is straightforward: slay as many monsters as possible to reach a target of 100. You can sign up on the roster to register your interest and earn an exclusive hunter medal. Successfully completing the Outbreak will reward you with various monster parts.

Culling monstersThe first monster to be featured in an outbreak is the eight-star Black Diablos. Throughout the event, you'll only encounter this dangerous creature, making Monster Outbreaks a refreshing twist to the game's usual formula and a prolonged challenge for those ready to take it on.

Don't forget to share your thoughts on the feature through the community forum or social media. Niantic is keen to hear whether Monster Outbreaks add the right level of excitement to the game.
