Killing Floor 3 Delayed to Later in 2025

Tripwire Interactive announced a significant delay for Killing Floor 3 (KF3), pushing the release date further into 2025. This decision, revealed on March 7th, 2025, via the game's official Bluesky account, comes just three weeks before the previously scheduled March 25th launch. The delay follows a closed beta test that fell short of expectations.

Disappointing Beta Feedback Leads to Delay

Tripwire acknowledged the negative feedback received during the beta, stating that they "missed the mark." The developer cited issues with performance, stability, user interface/user experience (UI/UX), lighting, and weapon feel as key areas needing improvement. The statement emphasized a commitment to delivering a game that upholds the core Killing Floor experience while pushing the franchise forward.

Online player reaction to the beta was overwhelmingly negative. Many criticized the game's feel, describing it as "insanely clunky and clumsy," "unpolished," and "glitch-ridden." Concerns were also raised about the shift away from the series' horror roots towards a more futuristic sci-fi aesthetic, and the character/class locking system present in the beta. One Reddit user, Captain_Pugman, poignantly questioned whether the developers had forgotten what made the Killing Floor franchise special.

Tripwire concluded their announcement by expressing their commitment to delivering a polished product and promising to provide updates as they become available.
