Every Weapon Type in *Freedom Wars Remastered*
New weapons are acquired by completing Operations or purchasing them from Zakka in The Warren. While Comrades' weapon choices are predetermined, you have complete control over your Accessory's loadout. Change your weapons—or your Accessory's—at any time; there are no penalties for frequent switching.
Weapon Type | Traits |
---|---|
Light Melee | Quick attacks ideal for fast-paced combat against single targets. Can sever Abductor limbs without a Flare Knife. |
Heavy Melee | Wide-swinging attacks inflict substantial damage. Well-placed attacks can hit multiple Abductor limbs for multiplied damage. Charged attacks launch you into the air at the end of combos. Slightly reduces movement speed. |
Polearm | Attacks often involve charging through enemies, providing mobility and evasion. Charged attacks throw the polearm for significant damage from a safe distance. |
Assault Weapons | High ammo capacity makes them perfect primary weapons for gun-focused builds. Can be fired while grappled with your Thorne, allowing for strategic positioning and ranged attacks. |
Portable Artillery | High single-shot damage with low ammo capacity. Explosive area-of-effect shots can hit multiple limbs for increased damage. Reduces movement speed. |
Autocannons | High rate of fire with large ammo capacity and magazine size. Individual shots have lower damage, but the high rate of fire compensates. Reduces movement speed. |
Note: Your Accessory doesn't need to worry about ammo when using gun weapons.
