A New Monster Joins the Fray

Missed the first Monster Hunter Wilds Open Beta? Fear not! A second beta test is scheduled for the first two weeks of February.

Following the success of the initial beta, producer Ryozo Tsujimoto announced a second round on the official Monster Hunter YouTube channel, providing another chance to experience the game before its February 28th launch.

The Open Beta will run in two sessions: February 6th-9th and February 13th-16th, available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. This time around, players can hunt the Gypceros, a familiar foe from previous Monster Hunter titles.

Character data from the first beta can be carried over and transferred to the full game, though progress won't be saved. Participants receive in-game rewards: a Stuffed Felyne Teddy weapon charm and a special bonus item pack to aid early-game progress.
