После успеха первой бета-версии продюсер Рёдзо Цудзимото объявил о втором раунде на официальном канале Monster Hunter на YouTube, предоставив еще один шанс испытать игру до ее запуска 28 февраля.

Открытое бета-тестирование будет проходить в два этапа: 6–9 февраля и 13–16 февраля и доступно на ПК, PlayStation 5 и Xbox Series X|S. На этот раз игроки смогут охотиться на Гипсероса, знакомого врага из предыдущих игр Monster Hunter.

Данные персонажей из первой бета-версии можно перенести в полную версию игры, однако прогресс не будет сохранен. Участники получают внутриигровые награды: оружейный брелок «Мягкая кошачья мишка» и специальный бонусный набор предметов, которые помогут прогрессу на ранних этапах игры.
