Emperor's Children Debut in Warhammer 40,000: Warpforge

Author : Madison Update : May 25,2025

If you're a fan of the Hellraiser film series and enjoy a touch of ironic naming, you'll be thrilled to learn that Warhammer 40,000: Warpforge has introduced a new faction: the Emperor's Children! This faction, steeped in the lore of Slaanesh, offers a fresh and intense experience with three new Warlords and a range of innovative mechanics designed to bring suffering to your opponents.

Originally a loyalist Space Marine legion, the Emperor's Children turned away from the Imperium during the Horus Heresy. Now, they pledge allegiance solely to the chaos god Slaanesh and their own desires, fragmenting into warbands that scour the galaxy in search of new sensations and experiences.

With the introduction of the Emperor's Children, players can choose from three distinct Warlords. Lord Kaphrael leads the Callous Blades and specializes in eliminating enemy champions. Xarahan, on the other hand, personifies the faction's inherent arrogance and egotism. And for those who appreciate a legendary swordsman, Lucius the Eternal brings millennia of combat experience and unmatched skill to the battlefield.

Units with the Ecstasy keyword gain powerful effects when their health drops to a specific threshold. Cards marked with Cruelty benefit from damaging (but not destroying) enemy units. The Stimulation keyword activates special abilities when the unit is targeted by stratagems. Additionally, Combat Elixirs can generate extra stratagems, enhancing the potential to trigger these unique abilities.

The Emperor's Children are now available in new booster packs and DLC, allowing you to torment your foes with their sinister new units and abilities.
