On January 18, Deadlock welcomed four new heroes to the fray, and shortly after, the developers rolled out balance adjustments to ensure a fair gameplay experience. Holliday's ability, Crackshot, now activates on units and has its cooldown halved in these scenarios. Meanwhile, Calico's Ava ability can now destroy objects she encounters while moving.

The update didn't stop at the new heroes; older characters also saw changes. Kelvin's health was boosted from 600 to 650, enhancing his survivability. On the other hand, Vendicta faced nerfs with her bullet speed dropping from 810 to 740, and her movement speed reduced from nine to eight. In total, adjustments were made to 11 heroes, including both newcomers and veterans.

Deadlock remains in closed beta, yet it boasts a vibrant community with player counts fluctuating between 7,000 and 20,000 online at any given time.
