January 2025 Gacha Game Revenue: Genshin Impact Leads the Pack

The gacha game market continues to generate significant revenue, with January 2025 figures revealing some interesting trends. Genshin Impact, boosted by a major update featuring the Pyro Archon and the highly anticipated Mawuika banner, saw a remarkable surge in earnings. Data indicates a doubling of revenue compared to December 2024, reaching a staggering $99.4 million (up from $45.6 million).

Trailing behind Genshin Impact, Pokemon TCG secured second place with $64 million in revenue. Love and Deepspace, a popular "female gacha" title, claimed the third spot, generating $55.2 million.

A noticeable decline was observed in Honkai Star Rail's earnings, which dropped to $50.8 million. Similarly, Zenless Zone Zero experienced a significant downturn, with revenue halved from $57.9 million to $26.3 million.

It's important to note that this ranking considers only mobile platform revenue. While some games, such as those from miHoYo, also have PC versions, these are excluded from the figures. Furthermore, the data incorporates a multiplier for Android revenue in China, as Google Play is unavailable in that market, using iOS revenue as a basis for estimation.
