Get ready for the return of *The Walking Dead: Dead City*! Season 2 premieres May 4th, 2025, as exclusively revealed at IGN Fan Fest 2025. IGN showcased an exclusive clip and interviews with Scott Gimple, Lauren Cohan (Maggie), and Jeffrey Dean Morgan (Negan).

Cohan offered insights into Maggie’s mindset entering Season 2: "Sadly, not everything is quite as rosy as one would hope," she explained. "My son is a teenager, creating typical family tensions. Add Ginny, a teenage girl in my care, to the mix, and you have relatable domestic dynamics playing out against the backdrop of an apocalyptic world. We're focused on survival—food, safety, sleep—before the next big threat arrives."

Jeffrey Dean Morgan discussed Negan's precarious position: "Negan is very much under the thumb of The Dama and The Croat, in unfamiliar territory," he revealed. "He'll scheme to regain control, but he's in a tough spot. He's struggling at the season's start." He also shared his affection for Lucille: "I love that thing! It's the only prop I've enjoyed carrying around. It brings back fond memories—not for Lauren!"

Gimple described the Season 2 conflict: "There's no single big bad. Power dynamics shift constantly. It's more complex, more political, and then it gets physical."
