Thrayir, Eyes of the Siren: Acquisition Guide in WoW

Author : Emily Update : Apr 11,2025

Navigating the vast world of World of Warcraft on a majestic mount is an exhilarating experience, and the Stormcrow named Thrayir, Eyes of the Siren, is one of the most coveted. Named after the Siren Isle zone from the World of Warcraft: The War Within expansion, obtaining Thrayir involves a thrilling adventure during a special event known as a Storm. This weather phenomenon occurs in multiple phases across Siren Isle, and players must visit various locales to collect five Runekeys. Here's a detailed guide on how to acquire this stunning flying mount.

How to Get Thrayir, Eyes of the Siren in World of Warcraft

Thrayir, Eyes of the Siren Mount

The Whirling Runekey is obtained from the rare spawn enemy Ksvir the Forgotten, located in the southernmost room of the Forgotten Vault. During a Storm event, visit the Vault, and Ksvir has a chance to spawn, almost always dropping the Whirling Runekey upon defeat.

The Torrential Runekey requires collecting seven Torrential Fragments from any enemy around Siren Isle during a Storm phase.

To get the Thunderous Runekey, gather five Thunderous Fragments, which can drop from any chest around Siren Isle, regardless of whether the area is experiencing a Storm.

The Cyclonic Runekey can be found by fishing anywhere in Siren Isle during a Storm phase or as a possible drop from Zek’ul the Shipbreaker in the Deadfin Mire.

The Turbulent Runekey is assembled by finding three Turbulent Fragments in specific locations near Kul Tiran ghosts:

  • Behind the abandoned inn, dig in the garden.
  • Inside a cave in the Rotting Hole zone, where the ghost is cowering.
  • Inside the Spirit-Scarred Cave, where the ghost offers the fragment as a tribute.

Once all five Runekeys are collected, return to the Forgotten Vault area of Siren Isle during the Seafury Tempest phase. Entering the Vault during any other phase will not trigger the ritual. Head to the eastern room of the map, where you'll find Thrayir’s body on a platform surrounded by five runestones. Insert each corresponding Runekey into the slots, and you'll receive a quest called "Thrayir, Eyes of the Siren." Complete the quest, and the mount will be added to your inventory.
