Prepare to ascend a tower filled with challenging obstacles and fierce robotic enemies in this exciting third-person beat 'em up. Upgrade your gear and your mecha-animal Buddies as you explore unique levels.

During The Game Awards, amidst the flurry of AAA announcements, a captivating animated trailer for Yu Suzuki's new title, Steel Paws, caught many eyes. This latest project from the creator of Shenmue is now available for pre-registration and will be an exclusive title on Netflix Games!

As expected from the designer behind Virtua Fighter and Shenmue, Steel Paws is a third-person beat 'em up. Players will climb a mysterious tower, battling robotic enemies alongside their mechanical animal companions, uncovering the secrets held within this tower that appears only once a century.

Steel Paws features distinct environments throughout the tower's ascent, offering opportunities to upgrade your mecha-animal Buddies and customize your gear. With slight randomization in each level, every playthrough presents a fresh challenge.

A Netflix Games Exclusive

It's encouraging to see Netflix Games continue to add compelling exclusives, despite recent challenges with its catalog. While Yu Suzuki's past work has had mixed reception (Shenmue II, for example), his experience and reputation suggest a potentially great release.

Steel Paws is certainly intriguing. With a prominent developer, impressive 3D graphics, and an explorable world filled with combat, it has the potential to significantly elevate Netflix Games' profile.
