Soul Tide Is the Latest Gacha Game to Announce Its EOS
Soul Tide, the popular mobile dungeon crawler, is nearing its end. Developer IQI Games and publisher LemcnSun Entertainment have announced the game's End of Service (EOS), bringing a close to its two-year and ten-month run on the global mobile market.
Soul Tide's End of Service Date
The official shutdown date for Soul Tide is February 28th, 2025. The game is already unavailable for download on the Play Store, and all in-app purchases have been disabled. Players are urged to use any remaining in-game resources before the shutdown, as all game data will be permanently deleted.
Before the final curtain call, Soul Tide will receive one last content update, offering a special send-off for loyal players. Details about this final update will be revealed soon on the developers' official X account.
A Look Back at Soul Tide
Soul Tide blended several genres, offering a unique experience. This anime-inspired dungeon crawler featured turn-based combat, character collection, home simulation, and elements of dating sims and roguelites. Initially launched in Japan in 2021, it received positive reviews for its gameplay and charming, storybook-esque visuals. The game stood out by giving its diverse cast of female characters significant depth and personality, a refreshing change from many other gacha games.
However, challenges arose over time, including less-than-favorable gacha rates, a cumbersome user interface, and inconsistencies in its translation. These factors ultimately contributed to the game's decline.
While the game is ending, you can still access it on the Google Play Store if you wish to use any remaining resources.
