SaGa Frontier 2 Remastered Enhances Android with New Visuals, Content

Square Enix has delighted fans by releasing the remastered version of SaGa Frontier 2 on mobile and other platforms. Originally launched on the PlayStation in 1999 in Japan and in 2000 in North America and Europe, this remaster breathes new life into the classic with enhanced visuals and additional content.

SaGa Frontier 2: Remastered Is Now Available on Android

SaGa Frontier 2 is set in the enchanting world of Sandail, where magic is powered by a mysterious force known as Anima. The narrative primarily follows two protagonists: Gustave, a royal with no magical talent, and William Knights, a young adventurer from a family of diggers who seek ancient relics called Quells.

Gustave's journey begins when he is banished from the Kingdom of Finney for his inability to harness Anima, a critical skill in his world. On the other hand, William, or Wil, embarks on a quest to uncover the truth behind his parents' demise and the mysterious relic, the Egg, which can manipulate minds.

The remastered version of SaGa Frontier 2 boasts upgraded graphics with higher resolution, making the watercolor backgrounds more vivid and detailed than ever. The user interface has been revamped to enhance navigation while preserving the game's classic charm.

In addition to visual upgrades, new storylines have been seamlessly integrated into the original plot. The combat system remains a blend of turn-based strategies, offering three distinct battle types: Party Battles, Duels, and Warfare. Party Battles adhere to the traditional RPG format, while Duels are intense one-on-one confrontations where strategy is key.

Warfare, on the other hand, involves large-scale strategic engagements, ensuring that the combat remains dynamic and engaging, avoiding repetitive encounters. Each battle type demands a unique approach, keeping players on their toes.

The remaster also reintroduces the glimmer system from the original game, allowing players to learn new techniques during combat, alongside a combo mechanic that rewards chaining attacks with your team.
