What Is Split Fiction?

Split Fiction is a two-player action-adventure game that requires cooperation. It follows the story of two writers—one specializing in sci-fi, the other in fantasy—who find themselves trapped within their own fictional worlds. Players must collaborate to battle enemies and solve puzzles across levels inspired by both genres. You might find yourself racing on Tron-style motorcycles and navigating gravity plates in one level, then transforming into fantasy characters in an enchanted forest in another.

Levels also feature portals to "side stories," which are essentially minigames. These could include riding a "sand fish" through the desert, reminiscent of Dune, or water skiing behind a drone across the sea.
