Pokémon Go Concludes Might and Mastery Season with Global Challenge

Author : Noah Update : May 22,2025

The Might and Mastery season in Pokémon Go is reaching its thrilling conclusion, and Niantic is emphasizing the power of teamwork. From Tuesday, May 20th to Thursday, May 22nd, the Strength in Numbers Global Challenge invites you to send as many Gifts as possible to your friends. This event is all about fostering community spirit and collaboration.

During the challenge period, you can open up to 50 Gifts each day. This not only gives you more opportunities to collect Stardust, items, and boost friendships, but also helps the global community move closer to unlocking a fantastic reward: giftable Special Research tickets for the upcoming Community Day Classic: Machop.

If the challenge is successfully completed by May 22nd, starting on May 23rd, you'll have the chance to send these Machop Special Research tickets to any friend with whom you've achieved Great Friends status. These tickets can be gifted even if you haven't purchased one for yourself—simply navigate to the in-game shop and share the Fighting-type love. Each trainer can gift up to 20 tickets daily, providing ample opportunity to spread generosity.

This initiative seamlessly transitions into the Machop event on May 24th, running from 2 to 5 pm local time. The Superpower Pokémon will appear more frequently in the wild, and yes, the Shiny version will be available too, offering a second chance for those who missed out previously or want to expand their collection of green-glowing Machamp.

Don't forget, you can evolve Machoke into Machamp up until May 31st to teach it Payback, a Dark-type Charged Attack that enhances its combat versatility. With the added bonuses of Stardust, three-hour Incense and Lures, and special Timed Research featuring a themed Machop encounter with increased Shiny odds, there's a lot to look forward to.

Prepare for the event by downloading Pokémon Go for free and visit the Pokémon Go Web Store to stock up on essentials in advance.
