Pokémon GO's New Year's Celebration: Get Ready for Festive Fun!

Pokémon GO is celebrating the New Year with its annual holiday event, running from December 30th to January 1st, 2025! This exciting event features themed bonuses, special Pokémon encounters, and plenty of ways to ring in the new year in style. Following the Community Day event (December 21st-22nd), prepare for a week of festive activities.

One of the event's highlights is the chance to earn a whopping 2,025 XP for each Pokémon caught with an Excellent Throw. Immerse yourself in the festive atmosphere with New Year's decorations and celebratory fireworks illuminating the skies.

Expect increased encounters with special Pokémon! Keep an eye out for Jigglypuff (with a ribbon!), Hoothoot (in a New Year's outfit), and Wurmple (sporting a party hat). Shiny versions of these Pokémon may also appear!

Raids are also getting a festive makeover. One-star raids feature a snowflake-hat-wearing Pikachu, while three-star raids bring party-hat-adorned Raticate and Wobbuffet. All three have boosted Shiny rates.
