A speedrunner of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild has achieved a remarkable feat at the Nintendo Switch 2 Experience in Japan, where playtime was limited to just 10 minutes. As reported by VGC, Japanese content creator Ikaboze managed to beat the final boss, Ganon, in a mere seven minutes using an existing save file, despite not knowing what equipment Link was equipped with. Ikaboze's challenge was to "defeat the final boss while tied up completely naked and with all my equipment removed," adding an extra layer of difficulty to the already impressive run. The crowd's enthusiastic response was captured in a tweet by Ikaboze, showcasing the moment of victory and the spontaneous applause from onlookers.

What makes this achievement even more astounding is that Ikaboze was using an unfamiliar controller and couldn't hear the game over the noise of the convention hall. "I was surprised by how many people had gathered," Ikaboze shared. "Staff were even filming on their smartphones. This was the first time anyone had completed the Breath of the Wild demo, and staff congratulated me."

The Nintendo Switch 2 Enhanced Edition of Breath of the Wild boasts improved visuals and performance, achievements, and integration with the new "Zelda Notes" service available through the Nintendo Switch Online app. Owners of the original Breath of the Wild on the Switch can upgrade to these new features for $10 via an "upgrade pack." Additionally, subscribers to Nintendo Switch Online and the Expansion Pack can access both the Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom upgrade packs at no additional cost.

For those interested in purchasing the new editions without upgrading, here's a list of prices in the U.S.:
