NieR: Automata - Where To Get Warped Wire
NieR: Automata features a wide array of enemies, many of which drop valuable materials used to upgrade your pod and weapons. While most materials are acquired naturally during gameplay, some, like Warped Wire, require targeted farming. This guide pinpoints the best location to efficiently farm Warped Wire.
Farming Warped Wire in NieR: Automata
Warped Wire is a potential drop from specific bipedal machine enemies. These aren't particularly challenging, but their spawn rate is low except in one key area.
The most efficient farming location is found by fast traveling to the Desert Camp access point. Proceed along the path towards the main desert area. Before reaching the open desert, you'll traverse some mountainous terrain, following a pipe through some ruins. This section contains multiple stacked bipedal machines, making it ideal for Warped Wire farming.
Focus on the two small clearings near the ruined buildings. All machines in these areas are the stacked variants with a decent Warped Wire drop rate; you'll typically acquire one or two per clear. Equipping a Drop Rate Up plug-in chip significantly accelerates this process.
To speed up respawning:
- Fast Travel: Quickly travel to another location and then return to Desert Camp. This method is far more efficient than the alternative.
- Run Away and Return: Moving a significant distance away and returning will also respawn the machines, but it's considerably slower.
Investing in drop rate increase chips is highly recommended. Many upgrade materials are machine drops, and you'll likely engage in similar farming strategies throughout the game. Movement Speed increase chips, while offering only a slight time saving here, prove beneficial for completing the game's racing side quests.
