Beast Hides are dropped by wildlife like moose and boar, randomly spawning in specific areas. These animals are easily identified on the mini-map by their white icons (machines are black). Unlike machines, wildlife doesn't respawn predictably, requiring strategic searching.

Moose and boar are found in the game's ruined city and forest zones. Their aggression depends on your level relative to theirs; higher-level animals may attack even without provocation. Wildlife boasts substantial health, making early-game encounters challenging.
