Netmarble’s Beat 'Em Up King Of Fighters ALLSTAR Is Shutting Down Soon
Netmarble's popular fighting game, King of Fighters ALLSTAR, is set to conclude its run this year. The official announcement on Netmarble's forums confirmed the game's shutdown on October 30th, 2024. In-app purchases have already been disabled, ceasing on June 26th, 2024.
Reasons Behind the Closure
King of Fighters ALLSTAR enjoyed a successful six-year run, featuring numerous high-profile crossovers from the legendary King of Fighters franchise. Despite generally positive player reviews praising its animations and PvP combat, the developers hinted at a potential shortage of characters to adapt as a contributing factor to the closure. However, this is likely just one aspect of a more complex situation. Recent optimization problems and game crashes also added to player frustration. Despite these challenges, the game achieved millions of downloads across Google Play and the App Store.
Players still have approximately four months to experience the game's legendary battles before the servers shut down in October. Download King of Fighters ALLSTAR from the Google Play Store and enjoy its unique fighting game experience before it's gone.
