T.S. Nowlin, writer of the Maze Runner franchise and Netflix's Project Adam, has been brought on to write the screenplay. While Derek Kolstad's involvement remains unclear, Chad Stahelski, director of the John Wick films, and his production company 87Eleven Entertainment will serve as executive producers. Stahelski is also attached to the Ghost of Tsushima film adaptation.
Released in 2022, Sifu quickly surpassed one million copies sold in its first three weeks. The game follows a young kung fu student's quest for vengeance after their master's murder. Using a mystical pendant that allows resurrection at the cost of accelerated aging, the protagonist faces numerous challenges in their perilous journey.
