Monster Hunter Now Tests New Monster Outbreaks Feature
Exciting times are ahead for fans of Monster Hunter Now, as Niantic introduces a thrilling new feature called Monster Outbreaks. This test phase is designed to gather player feedback and fine-tune the feature before its official release.
When Is the Monster Outbreaks Testing in Monster Hunter Now?
Mark your calendars for April 26th to 27th, as the testing phase of Monster Outbreaks will run for a couple of hours each day. The event will occur twice daily on both Saturday and Sunday, from 10:00 to 10:59 a.m. and again from 3:00 to 3:59 p.m., local time.
During these designated times, specific outbreak points on the map will be swarmed by 8-star Black Diablos. The challenge? Collaborate with fellow players to take down a total of 100 Black Diablos at each outbreak spot within the one-hour window. Note that this count is per location, not a global total.
To participate, you must be at least Hunter Rank (HR) 11. Importantly, you won’t be able to use the party feature; only in-person group hunts will count towards the goal.
These outbreak points will be clearly marked on the map with a unique icon. Once you spot one, simply tap on it to view the details. A handy sign-up roster at each location allows you to coordinate with other hunters by indicating when you plan to join the fray.
Black Diablos Is Rolling Up with Serious Boss Energy, in Swarm Mode!
The way the slay count works adds an intriguing layer to the event. If you team up with three other hunters and successfully take down one Black Diablos, that victory counts as four towards the goal of 100.
Should your group reach the 100-monster target before the hour ends, you can continue hunting Black Diablos for the remainder of the time slot. During these outbreaks, only Black Diablos will appear.
Successful completion of the 100-monster challenge rewards your group with 3 Black Diablos Tailcases, 3 Ridges, 3 Primeshells, 3 Marrows, and 2,000 Zenny. Additionally, by using the sign-up roster, you have the chance to earn a special Outbreak Test I Medal.
