Crystal Dynamics and UK-based design studio Lost in Cult have announced exciting new projects expanding the Legacy of Kain universe. These include a comprehensive encyclopedia and a thrilling tabletop role-playing game (TTRPG), both set in the iconic world of Nosgoth.

Crystal Dynamics Unveils New Legacy of Kain Projects

Following the December 2024 release of Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver 1 & 2 Remastered, Crystal Dynamics, in collaboration with Lost in Cult and Cook and Becker, is bringing these new experiences to life. "We’re incredibly excited to be diving back into the world of Nosgoth with these two passion projects," shared Ryan Brown of Lost in Cult.

The Book of Nosgoth: An Official Encyclopedia

The Book of Nosgoth, penned by Nic Reuben of Rock Paper Shotgun, promises a definitive exploration of Nosgoth. This encyclopedia will delve into the series' rich lore, providing detailed accounts of locations, factions, characters, and the epic Kain-Raziel conflict. Beyond the lore, expect behind-the-scenes glimpses into the games' development, showcasing concept art, sketches, maps, and developer interviews, offering a comprehensive look at the creation of all five Legacy of Kain titles.

Legacy of Kain: Scourge of Sarafan – A New TTRPG

Legacy of Kain: Scourge of Sarafan transports players to Nosgoth during the Sarafan Order's brutal crusade. Using the MÖRK BORG ruleset, this TTRPG offers a streamlined yet intense gameplay experience. Players take on the roles of Sarafan warrior priests, hunting vampires and uncovering Nosgoth's hidden history, venturing even into the spectral realm. Six playable classes, unique weapons and spells, a detailed bestiary, and the expansive Nosgoth landscape await.
