In *Fields of Mistria*, you can build friendships with nearly everyone, but romance is reserved for a select group of 11 NPCs, including Caldarus himself, as of the v0.13.0 update. Each romanceable character has a heart meter that grows based on your interactions. To foster a romantic relationship with a particular NPC, engage with them regularly and cater to their preferences.

Start by **engaging in daily conversations** with them, which can be seamlessly integrated into your daily routines around town. Consistent dialogue can significantly impact their affection towards you. Additionally, fulfill any requests they post on the town board; completing these tasks will provide more chances to boost their heart gauge.

You can also **present them with a gift once a day**, selecting items they particularly enjoy or adore. These preferences vary among characters, so you'll need to gather or craft the right items. Remember to give them a beloved item on their birthday for an extra boost to their heart gauge.

Currently, NPC heart gauges can reach up to **six hearts**. After achieving six hearts, a cutscene will hint at a budding romance, but it's not yet fully developed. According to the game's roadmap, future updates will introduce 8 and 10-heart events, along with options for marriage and children, ensuring your romantic journey continues to evolve.

Juniper, a romanceable character in *Fields of Mistria*, often searches for unusual witchcraft ingredients when not managing her bathhouse in the northeastern part of town. To win her heart, you'll need to visit her regularly, complete her town board requests, and gift her items she appreciates.

Juniper has a range of items she "likes" and "loves". Her birthday falls on the **26th day of Fall**, so presenting her with a "loved" item on this day will significantly enhance her heart gauge. Be mindful to avoid items she dislikes, which include all universal dislikes for NPCs and **Sod**.
