Hogwarts Legacy Sequel Officially in Development
A Sequel Expected Within a Few Years
Warner Bros. Discovery's CFO, Gunnar Wiedenfels, recently announced plans for a Hogwarts Legacy sequel at the Bank of America’s 2024 Media, Communications & Entertainment Conference, as reported by Variety. The original game, a critically acclaimed action RPG based on the Harry Potter universe, has sold over 24 million copies.
Wiedenfels stated that a sequel is "one of the biggest priorities" for the company in the coming years, highlighting the game's substantial contribution to their projected growth.
Earlier this year, Warner Bros. Games president David Haddad emphasized the game's high replayability as a key factor in its success. He noted its ability to bring the Harry Potter world to life in a new and engaging way, allowing players to immerse themselves in the narrative. This immersive experience, Haddad believes, is why Hogwarts Legacy resonated so strongly with fans and achieved its remarkable sales figures, surpassing many established franchises' sequels.
Game8 lauded Hogwarts Legacy's impressive visuals, calling it a stunning visual experience for Harry Potter fans. For a more detailed perspective, check out our review (link below)!
