"Heroes of Might and Magic: Olden Era Launches Open Arena Mode Testing"

Unfrozen recently unveiled a captivating gameplay trailer for Heroes of Might & Magic: Olden Era, highlighting essential aspects of the highly anticipated strategy game, such as its mechanics, units, and overall gameplay. In conjunction with the trailer, the studio also announced the opening of registrations for the closed beta test of the "Arena" mode. Gamers can secure their spot through the game’s Steam page, with the testing phase set to run from March 17 to March 28.

Set to debut in early access on Steam in Q2 2025, Heroes of Might & Magic: Olden Era will launch with six distinct factions, three single-player modes, and three multiplayer modes. Ubisoft will handle publishing responsibilities for this eagerly awaited title.

In a recent update, the development team showcased the Dungeon faction, featuring iconic units such as troglodytes, dark elves, minotaurs, medusas, hydras, and dragons. These additions promise to introduce fresh and dynamic gameplay elements, enhancing the game’s strategic depth.

While developing the Arena mode, the team at Unfrozen encountered hurdles, particularly concerning skill and hero balance within the constrained environment and absence of starting advantages. However, they overcame these challenges, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience for players.

Although the game is slated for a PC release later this year, an official launch date remains unconfirmed. The developers aim to create a title that resonates with both seasoned fans of the series and newcomers alike.
