Hangry Morpeko Haunts Pokémon GO for Halloween

Pokémon GO's Halloween event is almost here! Niantic has revealed the details for Part 1 (yes, there's a Part 2!), promising exciting features and spooky encounters.

The event runs from Tuesday, October 22nd, 10:00 a.m. local time, until Monday, October 28th, 2024, at 10:00 a.m.

What's New?

Morpeko makes its Pokémon GO debut! This Electric/Dark-type Pokémon introduces unique battle mechanics, especially useful against Team GO Rocket and in GO Battle League. Morpeko switches between Full Belly Mode (Aura Wheel - Electric-type, 100 power, Attack boost) and Hangry Mode (Aura Wheel - Dark-type, 100 power, Attack boost) mid-battle depending on its charged attack.

During the event, you'll have increased chances to encounter Morpeko in GO Battle League's premium track (Rank 16 and above).

Spooky Festivities!

Get ready for a Halloween atmosphere with special decorations and a remix of the classic Lavender Town music playing nightly!

Dynamax Gastly appears in one-star Max Battles, alongside Grookey, Scorbunny, and Sobble.

A free Timed Research event focusing on Spiritomb and its 108 spirits runs from October 22nd to November 3rd. Complete tasks to encounter Halloween Pokémon, including Spiritomb and Morpeko.
