In an interesting twist, the demo features a different protagonist—not the Nameless One, but another prisoner from the Miners' Valley. Concurrently, THQ Nordic has announced that a free demo for the Gothic 1 Remake will be available starting February 24. This demo will feature Niras' prologue, built using the powerful Unreal Engine 5.
