Elden Ring: Nightreign New Ranged Class Revealed
Elden Ring: Nightreign has officially unveiled its newest ranged class, the Ironeye, ahead of the game’s launch in May. This powerful sniper-style character brings a fresh dynamic to long-range combat. Learn more about this intriguing addition below!
Nightreign Unveils Sixth Playable Class: The Ironeye
In a recent update ahead of Elden Ring: *Nightreign*'s release, FromSoftware introduced the Ironeye, a brand-new ranged class designed for precision and agility. As a deadly marksman, the Ironeye wields a massive bow and relies on swift movements and calculated attacks to take down enemies from afar. The official character trailer highlights the Ironeye's unique playstyle, showcasing high-flying maneuvers such as wall-running and mid-air sniping. In addition, the class introduces players to an improved aiming system that enhances accuracy—especially when going for critical headshots. One of the most impressive moments in the trailer is when the Ironeye performs a riposte using a perfectly aimed arrow straight into an enemy’s heart.
This makes the Ironeye not only one of the most technically skilled classes but also one that redefines ranged combat in Nightreign. With this new class now confirmed, fans can expect even more gameplay diversity when the full roster becomes available.
During the Nightreign Closed Network Test held last February, players had the chance to try out four of the eight playable classes: the balanced Wylder, defensive Guardian, agile Duchess, and spellcasting Recluse. The Ironeye joins them as the sixth revealed class, and it wouldn’t be surprising if FromSoftware continued teasing the remaining two in the coming weeks.
With features like the refined aiming mechanics being showcased, many players are hopeful that these improvements could eventually make their way into the original Elden Ring, encouraging more users to experiment with bows as a primary weapon.
Historically, melee builds have dominated due to their effectiveness and fluidity in combat. However, the Ironeye class proves that ranged combat can be just as impactful, especially with the right skill investment and positioning.
Elden Ring: Nightreign is set to launch globally on May 30, 2025, for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S at a price point of $39.99. For further details and updates on the game, check out Game8’s dedicated coverage.
