Author : Ellie Update : Mar 12,2025

Fans of Lovecraftian-inspired fishing horror will need to adjust their calendars. Black Salt Games has announced a delay for the mobile port of Dredge, pushing its release to February 2025. However, the delay comes with good news: a new closed beta is now open for sign-ups!

In Dredge, players take on the role of a fisherman in the eerie town of Greater Marrow. What begins as simple fishing quickly unravels into a chilling adventure filled with strange sea creatures, mysterious beings, and unsettling events on a nearby island. The constant threat of losing your sanity adds another layer of dread to the gameplay.

Interested in experiencing this unsettling fishing adventure on mobile? Sign up for the closed beta using this Google form. Despite the delay, the numerous awards and critical acclaim Dredge has received strongly suggest it's a game worth waiting for, even if you've already played it on other platforms.

Fishin' ain't easy

Having played Dredge on PC, the delay isn't entirely surprising. Translating such a vast and detailed world to mobile is a significant undertaking. The additional closed beta is a smart move, allowing for valuable player feedback and ensuring a smoother mobile experience. This excellent blend of horror and fishing deserves a polished mobile release.
