Recommended Elemental Attack – Fire and Lightning
Effective Status Effects: Poison (2x), Sleep (2x), Paralysis (2x), Blastblight (2x), Stun (2x), Exhaust (2x)
Effective Items: Flash Pod, Shock Trap, Pitfall Trap
Use Flash Pod
Despite its massive size, Doshaguma is remarkably agile, capable of swift jumps and dashes across the battlefield. This makes it challenging for melee weapon users to land hits. Utilizing a Flash Pod can temporarily blind the monster, providing a crucial window to attack or even mount its back for a strategic advantage.
Attack the Legs
Targeting Doshaguma's legs is key. The forelegs are particularly vulnerable with a 3-star weakness, making them ideal for inflicting significant damage. The back legs, with a 2-star weakness, are less effective but still viable. The head also presents a 3-star weakness, offering another prime target. Although less damaging, attacking the tail can break it, yielding additional monster parts.
Use Fire and Lightning
In Monster Hunter Wilds, Doshaguma is susceptible to fire and lightning elements. Bowgun users should equip Flaming and Thunder ammo. Enhancing your weapon with fire skills via decorations can also be beneficial. Aim for the head and torso with fire attacks, and focus solely on the head when using lightning.
Beware of Blastblight
Doshaguma can inflict Blastblight, a dangerous status ailment that can lead to an explosion if not addressed. You can counteract this by consuming a Nulberry or using Deodorant. Alternatively, dodge-rolling three times can dispel the effect.
Use Traps
Strategic use of the environment is crucial. The areas where Doshaguma roams often feature natural traps that can be exploited. Remember to sheath your weapon before deploying your slinger, and ensure the monster is positioned directly under the trap before activating it.
