Surprisingly affordable at $39.99, this remaster offers great value. Keep in mind, though, that the physical version doesn't include the game on the disk. Instead, it's a "game-key card," which we'll explain below.
Note: This is a Game-Key Card
Some Nintendo Switch 2 games come on cards that contain the full game data. However, Bravely Default: Flying Fairy HD Remaster uses a game-key card. These cards resemble Switch 2 cartridges but don't contain the actual game. Instead, you'll need to insert the card into your Switch 2 and download the 11GB game from the eShop.
The good news is, you can still lend the physical card to a friend or even sell it. To play the game, though, you'll need to use the game-key card with your Switch 2.
What is Bravely Default: Flying Fairy HD Remaster?
Originally launched on the 3DS, Bravely Default was a throwback RPG with turn-based combat and a quest to find four crystals. The game's unique combat system allows players to save turns and execute multiple actions at once, while its deep job system enables you to customize your party's abilities.
The HD remaster retains all these beloved features and adds new ones, including the ability to fast-forward through battles and cut scenes. You can still adjust encounter rates to suit your playstyle, engage in an online mode, and enjoy new minigames.
