After completing the main quest, you'll find that Assassin’s Creed Shadows remains an open world filled with opportunities. The game's vast landscape of Feudal Japan is brimming with side content that remains accessible, allowing you to fully immerse yourself in the world and its culture. You can continue to explore, complete any remaining side quests, and uncover all the secrets the game has to offer.

Additionally, Assassin’s Creed Shadows will receive post-launch updates through the Animus, introducing new weekly challenges. These additions ensure that even after achieving 100% completion, there's always something new to engage with.

Assassin’s Creed Shadows Epilogue and Endgame Explained

Once the credits roll, your journey in Assassin’s Creed Shadows may not be over just yet. In my experience, the credits appeared after completing the Shinbakufu Objective Board and the main quests for Yasuke and Naoe. However, to unlock the true ending and the epilogue, you'll need to complete the personal stories of Naoe, Yasuke, and Junjiro. After that, return to the Hideout and speak with Tomiko. This will lead you to the complete ending and unlock the associated achievements.

As you near the end of the game, you'll also unlock exclusive gear sets themed around the Assassins for Naoe and the Templars for Yasuke. These sets not only enhance each protagonist's unique playstyle with special perks but also offer designs that resonate deeply with long-time fans of the Assassin’s Creed series.

For those interested in endgame content, Assassin’s Creed Shadows allows for continued progression up to the game's maximum level cap, even after the credits have rolled.

While the main narrative of Assassin’s Creed Shadows concludes at launch, the game's journey doesn't end there. Expect new content to be added through the Animus, along with updates to the in-game store featuring new items. Furthermore, a story expansion titled The Claws of Awaji is set to release later in 2025. This DLC will introduce over 10 hours of new content and transport players to the Island of Awaji.
