Niantic has unleashed Season 4 of Monster Hunter Now, transforming the game into a winter wonderland. Prepare for icy winds, deep snowdrifts, and a host of new monsters to challenge your hunting skills.

What's New in Season 4?

This season introduces a frigid tundra environment. New monsters making their debut include Lagombi, Volvidon, Somnacanth, and the fearsome Tigrex. Returning favorites like Barioth, Wulg, and Cortos also appear. Tigrex will be a formidable opponent in Hunt-a-thons and may even make surprise appearances in the field. Unlock these creatures by completing urgent quests within Season 4's story chapters. Access to the tundra itself is granted upon completion of the prologue.

A powerful new weapon joins the arsenal: the Switch Axe. This versatile weapon seamlessly transitions between Axe Mode for powerful, sweeping attacks and Sword Mode for aggressive, close-quarters combat. Unlock the Switch Gauge by finishing Chapter 2 of the pre-season story.

Season 4 also introduces customizable Palico companions. These helpful allies assist in gathering materials and scouting monsters. Players can personalize their Palico's fur color, facial features, and name. Augmented reality (AR) functionality allows players to bring their Palico into the real world for photos.

Adding a social element, Friend Cheering lets you support fellow hunters. Send a cheer to a friend for a temporary health boost, though there's a limit to the total health gain from cheers.
