Applin Debuts in Pokémon GO: Sweet Discoveries Await!

Pokémon GO enthusiasts, mark your calendars! The Sweet Discoveries event is on the horizon, bringing with it the exciting debut of Applin, a must-catch for collectors and shiny hunters alike. Dive in to discover all the sweet details of this event.

When Is Applin Debuting in Pokémon GO?

The Sweet Discoveries event kicks off on April 24th at 10:00 a.m. and lasts until April 29th at 8:00 p.m. local time. The highlight? The introduction of Applin, a Grass and Dragon-type Pokémon hailing from the Galar region. To evolve Applin into Flapple, you'll need 200 Applin Candies and 20 Tart Apples. Alternatively, you can evolve it into Appletun with 200 candies and 20 Sweet Apples. For the final evolution into Dipplin and then Hydrapple, you'll embark on a unique journey.

A key element of the evolution process involves Apples, which you can find in the wild during the event. Tapping on them might reward you with a Tart Apple, a Sweet Apple, or even Applin itself. Increase your chances of encountering Apples by using Mossy Lure Modules.

Did You Know?

Applin lives its entire life inside an apple, cleverly disguising itself from bird Pokémon, its natural predators, by pretending to be just another piece of fruit. With its adorable appearance, Applin is undoubtedly one of the cutest Pokémon in the game.

During the Sweet Discoveries event, new avatar items will be available in the shop, including an Applin Headband and an Applin Apron. On the bonuses front, you'll enjoy 2× Candy for catching Pokémon throughout the event.

The event also increases your chances of encountering Shiny Delibird and Shiny Skwovet in the wild. Furthermore, your odds of hatching Shiny Delibird, Shiny Cherubi, and Shiny Skwovet from 7 km Eggs are significantly boosted.

Another sweet addition to the event is the increased berry drops from catching Delibird or Skwovet. So, if you haven't already, grab Pokémon GO from the Google Play Store and get ready for an event filled with sweet discoveries.
